Consultative Committee
The Consultative Committee of Experts is constituted by one representative from each Party, plus a total of 9 members who represent the NGOs (3), Scientists (3), and the private sector (3). The objective of this committee is to advise and guide the Conference of the Parties for compliance with the mandate of the Convention in promoting the protection, conservation and recovery of the populations of sea turtles and those habitats on which they depend, taking into account the environmental, socioeconomic and cultural characteristics of the Parties.
